Thank you for putting the retreat on. In just one week, I slowed my eating down, reduced my portion sizes, and following the discussion on ways to release stress, my self acceptance has improved again.
Rachel
For me it has been insightful, helpful and came at a time when everyone’s stress levels are high and we’re all feeling completely out of our comfort zones. The retreat grounded me again and made me look inside myself for the answers rather than elsewhere.

During the retreat I had less daytime binges, felt better about myself and increased my physical activity. I loved the beautiful energy and positive approach to food...and the humour! Your generosity and kindness in offering this wonderful retreat is very much appreciated!

How It Works
This retreat will happen through two platforms:
#1 A private Slack group. Slack is what Facebook would be if you removed all the distraction, ads and social pressure. Imagine a social media platform only for people doing this week. I have group coaching clients who detest Facebook, and they really enjoy Slack. This is the place to ask questions and share your struggles not just with me, but others who understand what you are going through right now.
#2 Optional Zoom video calls of 45 minutes (plus extra time if you need it) in a group of maximum 7 participants. These will happen at 8pm UK time. Find out what time that is where you live
Tuesday 23rd June 8pm
Wednesday 24th June 8pm
Friday 26th June 8pm
Sunday 28th June 8pm
Monday 29th June 8pm
Whether you attend the calls or not, you will have an action step to complete after each session. Each step will be one of the following: fun, thought-provoking or relaxing. Or maybe a mixture of two at the same time!

Thanks so much for running this, I have got loads out of it and feel I have started to turn the tide which is exactly what I was looking for. I loved the group format, it works brilliantly and is very normalising.

The Programme For The Week
Day 1 - Neutralise Your Guilt
The response many people are having to their lockdown overeating is more self-discipline. Learn why this will not work, and what to replace it with. Meet your Inner Food Rebel and learn how to put them out of a job!
Day 2 - Stop Sugar Cravings Before They Start
So many people only focus on responding to their cravings. But why make life harder than it needs to be? Discover one of the hidden secrets of eating psychology and be amazed at how easy it is to walk past the junk.
Day 3 - The Single Most Powerful Thing You Can Do To Help Yourself Eat Better In Lockdown
I am talking about slow eating. This is something many people find almost impossible, but the truth is that lockdown presents an amazing opportunity to develop your skills in this area. We are going to gamify it. No Just chew 20 times nonsense - that is a nightmare for any recovering food compulsive.
Day 4 - The Food Rebel’s Guide To Stress and Binge Eating
Your Inner Food Rebel is the energy behind your stress & binge eating. It is far more powerful than your best intentions, and for that first 5 minutes of the binge it feels like nothing else can bring you relief. I show you why this assumption is false, and offer you a powerful mindset shift to put that food rebel out of a job. Learn how to turn making healthy choices into the path to empowerment.
Day 5 - The Golden Opportunity
As lockdown starts to ease off, we discuss the hidden golden opportunity to ramp up everything else you have been doing on this retreat, an opportunity that will probably never present itself again. In this time when the goalposts of daily life have not only been moved, but are now on the other side of the planet, don't miss out!

Your retreat impacted me a lot in so many positive ways. I'm starting to see food as a "partner" that can work with me rather than against me and I don't want to be a jerk to my body anymore.

Since the final session last week, I've been tempted to eat junk twice and each time I coached myself down from that ledge and was able to make a better decision--I made a healthy version of chocolate brownies (GF, refined sugar free) and I made a yummy chia seed pudding. I'm practicing eating slowly and planning out my meals a day ahead.

I had horrendous IBS at the start of the retreat - it was so bad that I was waking during the night. The slow purposeful eating and taking smaller portion sizes along with establishing a new exercise routine has really reduced bloating and pain.

I felt really accepted in the group, and I am more conscious when I eat, with more present mouthfuls. I am also riding the wave of cravings more effectively.
