In today’s podcast episode, I take two very different books that explain weight and eating issues, and put this issue down to one thing. Can we be so reductionist? I don’t think so – but listen to this episode and learn how to get the best out of everything you read.

Shownotes

In this week’s Eating Coach radio show (podcast),

*Stupid Idea of The Week*

…is watching the film La La Land,  and most specifically listening to the soundtrack. What on earth has that got to do with compulsive eating? Listen and find out.

*Main section*

Two books – two different POVs. But who is right? Can we ever ascribe our eating issues to one factor – and if not, then how can we use these approaches? I discuss Mike Dooley’s Infinite Possibilities as it regards eating and weight issues, then do the same for Steven Pressfield’s War of Art.

I discuss the limits of spirituality and the specific problem it creates for recovering food compulsives, as well how both books fail to address some very common root causes of eating problems – and why it doesn’t really matter who is right, because the only important thing is……. (and you’ll have to listen to find out how that sentence ends).
